Met Museum Donors Outraged at Models Who Smoked In the Bathroom at the Met Gala [Page Six]
After images of models (Bella Hadid, Behati Prinsloo, Francis Bean Cobain), actors (Rami Malek) and designers (Marc Jacobs) smoking in the bathroom at the Metropolitan Museum of Art at Monday’s Met Gala began circulating on social media, donors and board members of the museum expressed outrage. “As a donor to the Met, I was so insulted to see all these ‘celebrities’ smoking and taking selfies of themselves in the bathroom,” one anonymous donor told Page Six. “Mostly, it’s disrespectful to the art collection, which needs to be kept 100% smoke-free. I would honestly like to see these people fined by the city.” Smoking in doors is illegal in New York and generally not encouraged in the vicinity of one of the world’s most precious collections of fine art.
