Sotheby’s is casting the spotlight on an eclectic selection of jewellery in classic and modern designs at the London Fine Jewels sale scheduled for September 21. Headlining the sale is timeless gold jewellery.
“Testament to the timeless allure of great designs and beautiful stones, the jewels on offer are the perfect addition to the most stylish looks,” the auction house said.
According to Sotheby’s, gold has an enduring elegance and is the perfect complement to crisp linen and cashmere coat. The September Fine Jewels sale offers a wide selection of gold jewellery, some by acclaimed jewellery houses including Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels as well as Hemmerle, Boucheron and Oscar Heyman.
Gold jewellery in bold designs as well pieces matched with rare material are also star attractions at the show.
The autumn sale likewise offers a rich collection of modern jewellery pieces with diamonds and coloured gemstones by world-renowned jewellers including Boivin, Boucheron, Cartier and Hermès. Vintage jewellery, ranging from Art Deco bracelets to statement pieces will also go under the hammer.
Sotheby’s is also holding a series of exhibitions and lectures in London including talks at RM Battersea Exhibition and Auction on September 6 and 7 by Sotheby’s jewellery specialists Jessica Wyndham and Justin Roberts.
