The name Priyanka Chopra is synonymous with experimentation and always pushing the boundaries with her career, fashion and beauty choices. While she has spent most of her time overseas this year, we did spot her in the city for a couple of days. Here’s what the global actor’s beauty journey looked like, across borders, all the way through 2017.

On shorter locks and mermaid-hued eyeshadow
Chopra kicked off the year with two opposing beauty looks in January, and managed to ace each of them. One, her sleek, open waves and maroon lip combination at the Golden Globe Awards, and a fresh-faced pink lip and generous lashes of mascara at the People’s Choice Awards. Come first week of February and we spotted her in a fierce side-braid and messy hair look followed by another outing in a matte grey lip. She then took to the red carpet on two occasions, the Vanity Fair Oscars Party and at the Oscars in a simple-but-statement-making deep side-part, straight hair and a grey kohl and eyeliner look to go with. She upped her game in the month of March with a textured hun on one occasion, burnt orange lipstick on another and her now long locks in a middle part.

All of her beauty looks in April were drastically different from each other—she pulled her hair back into a pony and minimal makeup for her appearance on Live With Kelly, wore her mane in romantic curls and a bright red lip for The Bachelor, and picked poker-straight, open hair at another event. Her beauty look for when she returned home that month? A basic blow-dry and matte red pout. May has to be the standout month this year, when it comes to Chopra’s best beauty looks. She wore silver eyeshadow, brown lipstick and a top knot to the Met Gala, a turquoise and purple eye makeup look for the premier of Baywatch, an intense metallic eyeshadow a week after and a sleek low bun and deep red lip at the end. In fact, her signature open waves made an appearance more often than not this month. In June, Chopra went the sleeker route with side-swept hair, muted-metallic-green eyeshadow, a sleek bun (accentuated with gold eyeliner and a red lip, this one being the exception) and a pink-hued monochrome makeup look.

Take two
As she stepped into the second half of the year, Chopra made glossy skin her favourite; it was a staple look throughout her birthday celebrations. For August, the actor showcased a mixed bunch of beauty looks including a bright orange lipstick, a fresh hair colour job of gold highlights just in time for her trip back to India (where she wore a bright pink lipstick for Ganesh Chaturthi festivities). Back to the US now, September saw Chopra step out in everything from a straight, centre-parted mane to a romantic updo and purple lipstick. She kicked the ball out of the park yet again with a wine-coloured monochrome makeup look at the Emmy Awards and soft, side-swept waves with a coral-nude lipstick at an event for the United Nations.

Come October, Chopra kept her beauty looks fairly low-key with her naturally-wavy hair tied into a ponytail on holiday in Italy, open curls at an event and a beautiful icy-blue eyeliner at another. This month, the actor has repeatedly shared glimpses of her long, curly hair—a length we haven’t seen on her in a while—with barely-there makeup. The last one, paired with a pink eyeshadow, lengthening mascara and a lipstick to go with, definitely took the cake.
