TWO teen girls who stole makeup from a discount chemist appeared before Rockhampton Magistrate Michael O’Driscoll today.
Krystal Sky Adel Kime, 19, and Nikki Jasmine Wood, 18, each pleaded guilty to one count of unauthorised dealing with shop goods in Rockhampton Magistrates Court after they targeted Chemist Warehouse at 7.30pm on February 4.
Police prosecutor senior constable Shaun Janes said Kime took $35.83 worth of makeup while Wood took $47.30 worth of makeup from the cosmetics section before they stashed their loot in their clothing and left the store without paying.
The girls were interviewed at Rockhampton Police Station on March 8 when they told police they took a number or products but did not remember what kind.
“This is a serious matter and you should be aware of your conduct,” Magistrate Michael O’Driscoll told the girls.
Both Wood and Kime were fined $200 and ordered to pay restitution with no convictions recorded.
