Global luxury auction house Phillips is offering exceptional fancy coloured diamonds and coloured gemstone jewellery at its Jewellery and Jadeite sale scheduled for November 28 in Hong Kong.
The auction will encompass a “collection of very fine gemstones and exquisite jewellery, plus a selection of unique vintage pieces,” according to the company.
The star lot is an “important and rare” pear-shaped fancy pink diamond of 7.93 carats, which is estimated to fetch between HK$22 million and HK$26 million (US$2.83 million and US$3.35 million).
A belle epoque brooch, embellished with a 16.72-carat Colombian emerald centre gem, two natural saltwater pearls weighing approximately 11.0 and 9.70 carats, circa 1910, and diamonds, is also expected to attract buyers’ attention. The piece has a pre-sale estimate of HK$8 million to HK$9 million (US$1.03 million to US$1.16 million).
Another highlight of the sale is a “very fine” pair of jadeite and diamond earrings in the shape of peapods, valued at HK$5.5 million to HK$6.5 million (US$709,210.70 to US$838,163.04).
Phillips holds auctions and exhibitions at salerooms in New York, London, Geneva, and Hong Kong, while clients are further served through representative offices based throughout Europe, the US and Asia. Phillips also offers an online auction platform accessible anywhere in the world, the company said.
