Karisma Kapoor is absolutely the queen of classic, elevated looks. On Saturday, the Bollywood actor and fashionista stepped out in an ivory kurta with dhoti pants: A cool-girl look we’re bookmarking for our hypothetical future bridal shower.
The 43-year-old beauty stayed true to her chic minimalist style as she shared pictures on Instagram of her attending a charity event. Kapoor’s look was simple, sublime: A classic mash-up of dressy and laid-back, a sophisticated look she adheres to for pretty much every occasion.
Kapoor was a living piece of art in an eye-catching Anju Modi ensemble featuring multi-coloured stripes (love the optical illusion!) and high neckline. The accessories she chose in addition to the dainty white outfit were certainly worth noting, too.
Grounding her desi look were shimmery juttis, while retro-inspired half-bun and casual-yet-refined earrings finished the ensemble for easy, high-fashion boho impact.
Kapoor has proved time and again that no one can wear white the way that she does – no matter what silhouette she rocks, be it an asymmetric jumpsuit or a monochrome shirt-culottes combo, time after time the neutral colour works for her. Even her travel wardrobe is awash with pristine, optic whites.
In fact, if Kapoor had to choose a colour to wear as a permanent uniform, we’d guess she’d select white. But we don’t blame her for wearing it over and over again, because she’s pretty much nailed the non-colour everytime. Don’t believe us?
