Leibish & Co, one of the major online suppliers of natural fancy coloured diamonds, recently announced that it won the first Internally Flawless Argyle Tender diamond offered in over 20 years.

Bids on Rio Tinto’s 2016 Argyle Pink Diamonds Tender closed on October 12. The 2016 Tender, named the “Chroma Collection” because of its potency of colour, comprised 57 pink diamonds, two violet diamonds and four red diamonds, and weighs a total of 58.24 carats.

Leibish said it was thrilled to receive word from Argyle that they won the first Internally Flawless Argyle Tender stone offered in over 20 years, adding that diamonds of this calibre are few and far between.

Leibish is offering their Tender winnings to the select few who seek the rarest diamonds. The company currently has access to over 40 Argyle Tender diamonds still available, the company said.

According to the company’s chief diamond buyer, Shmulik Polnauer, “It was one of the finest Argyle pink diamond Tenders ever presented.” He continued to say that “the colours, sizes and clarity of many of these stones are all exceptional.”

Among these exquisite stones, you will rarely see ones above a carat and almost never see them with an Internally Flawless clarity. Over the past 30 years, there has been no more than one or two IF stones offered, the company said.

Leibish & Co has been a major participant in the Argyle Tenders over the past 10 years. The company has won a wide selection of Tender stones, going home last year with 26 Tender diamonds.
