VIJAYAWADA: ‘Grand Abhushanam’, organised by All India Gems and Jewellery Trade Federation, ended on a grand note on Sunday. The first ever business-to-business fair supported by AP Bullion Gold, Silver and Diamond Merchants Associations saw the participation of over 100 prominent jewellery manufacturers & wholesalers from across India.

Around 78 stalls showcased a variety of new designs and handmade gold jewellery collections in the two-day exhibition. The objective of this programme is to encourage people from the jewellery trade in Vijayawada and southern region to interact and forge strong business relationships.

Ashok Jain, convenor of Abhushanam, said, “We keep learning with every Abhushanam exhibition. This show is grand in all aspects. Vijayawada plays a vital role in the gems & jewellery industry.”

Vijayakumar, State President, AP Bullion Gold, Silver & Diamond Merchants Association, said, “We are extremely happy & thankful to GJF for choosing Vijayawada to conduct such a mega event for the first time.”

R Arun Kumar of Mahalakshmi Jewellery from Coimbatore which is the hub  of temple jewellery said, “We have over 20 years industry experience. Hundreds of traders visit us daily for authentic pure cut temple jewellery. We have our craftsmen who work on exclusive special temple cuts. This is the first time we have come to Vijayawada. People here are liking our designs. Soon, our exclusive designs will be available here in the city.”

Those who visited the expo, especially retail gold traders from across the State, were extremely happy with the expo.

“We are very happy with the fair. In fact, for purchasing jewellery, we travel for days across the country. Now every prominent manufacturer and wholesaler is here in the city. We can simply visit the expo and place the order. This helps small traders like us,” said K Easwar of Sai Ram Jewellers.
