Luxeford Hong Kong Ltd is presenting an expansive array of diamonds and coloured gemstones in its spring sale of fine jewellery scheduled for May 16, following a three-day public exhibition.
The top lots include a 14.36-carat D-colour VVS1 diamond ring and a 10.15-carat diamond ring, both with triple excellent grades, estimated to fetch HK$16 million (US$2.1 million) and HK$9.5 million (US$1.2 million), respectively; a 5.84-carat cushion-cut unheated ruby and diamond ring, with a pre-sale estimate of HK$2.5 million (US$322,581); and a 26-carat antique cushion-cut Ceylon (Sri Lanka) sapphire and diamond ring, valued at HK$2 million (US$258,065).
Other highlights of the sale include a fine Colombian emerald and diamond necklace with 37.7 carats of graduated oval-cut emeralds and 50.6 carats of brilliant-cut diamonds, estimated to sell for HK$1.5 million (US$193,548); a pair of intense green emerald and diamond ear pendants set with approximately 47.06 carats of cabochon emeralds with a pre-sale valuation of HK$1 million (US$129,032); an 8.27-carat emerald and diamond ring with a pre-auction estimate of HK$800,000 (US$103,226).
Also on sale is a limited edition diamond and onyx cuff bangle by Cartier, one of 30 pieces created globally, set with approximately 13.5 carats of diamonds, estimated to fetch HK$680,000 (US$87,742); a 23.4-carat pear-shaped sapphire and diamond pendant necklace of crossover design set with a total of approximately 62.4 carats of diamonds, with an assessed value of HK$680,000 (US$87,742); and a gold keshi and conch pearl, and diamond necklace, strung with approximately 445 carats of baroque drop-shaped keshi pearls, with a pre-determined value of HK$650,000 (US$83,871).
Jadeite is also expected to make waves during the sale. Buyers can choose from an intense green jadeite bead necklace embellished with a ruby and diamond clasp, estimated to sell for HK$250,000 (US$32,258); an intense green and translucent jadeite saddle ring, valued at HK$80,000 (US$10,323); and a set of Chinese domino jadeite carvings, which is expected to sell for HK$40,000 (US$5,161).
