Motoring chain Halfords is recalling portable battery chargers after a fire risk was discovered.
The retailer has issued the alert over three Coca-Cola branded powerbanks. It follows customer complaints that they pose a fire risk.
The models affected are the 2200mAh devices, and they carry the numbers 243524, 243516 and 243581.
Customers have been warned not to use the charger. They can get a full refund from Halfords when they return the charger.
There haven’t been any injuries reported, but four customers have reported a potential fire risk.
Halfords said: “We have identified a potential fault with the Coca-Cola Powerbank 2200mAh and are recalling all three models of this product with immediate effect.
“We have removed these items from sale whilst a full investigation takes place and are asking customers not to use the product and to return it to their local Halfords shop, where they will receive a full refund.
“We take the quality and safety of our products extremely seriously and would like to apologise to customers affected for any inconvenience this may cause.”
Customers can contact Halfords’ customer services on 0345 504 53 53 or [email protected] for further advice.
No other products or powerbanks are affected by the recall.
