Major coloured gemstone and fine jewellery manufacturers will be presenting some of their most striking creations at the September Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair.
Germany-based Paul Wild OHG, one of the industry’s leading gemstone suppliers and manufacturers, is presenting its stunning suites, including a multi-colour spinel scalloped collar layout. The collar layout, which promises to be a one-of-a-kind neckpiece, features 348 spinels in round facetted cuts. Measuring 4.5mm to 5.5mm in size, the layout has a total weight of 367.46 carats.
The spinels used in this layout came from a new production in Vietnam, the coloured gemstone specialist said. The lot consists of stones in smaller sizes from 0.5 carat up to 7 carats, and in a wide variety of colours.
Thailand-based gemstone manufacturer Pamir Gems Co Ltd is also presenting its extensive collection of spinels at the September Hong Kong Fair. “We mostly deal in all colours of spinel: Blue, Pamir pink, red, green and even grey. Moreover, we do have some nice Tajikistan rubies, chrysoberyls and garnets,” the gemstone dealer said.
One of the pieces that Pamir Gems will be highlighting at the show is a Pamir Red 65-carat spinel from the old Kuh-I-Lal mine. “This is a very rare colour for Pamir spinels. Moreover, due to its size, clarity and special signature cut, this stone is gorgeous as it is unique,” the company said.
The Lorenzo Group, through its subsidiaries Lorenzo Gems and Lorenzo Jewelry Ltd, is offering its exceptional collections of polished coloured gems and finished jewellery pieces at the fair. The list includes amethyst, citrine, peridot, aquamarine, tanzanite and tourmaline – either loose or set in jewellery.
“Since pinkish-red is very much in trend now, we will also be highlighting our collection of Brazilian garnets at the show in addition to pink quartz, morganite and pink tourmaline,” the gemstone expert said.
