Jo Malone’s sophisticated fragrances have millions of fans worldwide, but at £88 for a 100ml bottle, they’re not as kind on the wallet as they are on the nose.

That’s why fans of the brand’s signature scents have been going wild for Primark’s new range of perfumes with fragrances remarkably similar to Jo Malone blends for just a tiny fraction of the price.

A few weeks ago, the retailer launched a range of handwashes that were dead ringers for the luxury range, and now it’s also released the Private Collection of six unisex fragrances, Rose Oud, Pomegranate & Black Tea, Jasmine & Honey, Vanilla Absolute, Amber Noir and Mandarin & Basil.

The cheapest item in the ‘super chic’ range is just £3 for a 20ml purse spray, while the smallest bottle of Jo Malone is £44 for a 30ml bottle.

Beauty fans have taken to Twitter to urge others to snap up the bargain buys costing £8 for a 100ml bottle, with one even claiming people have been stopping her in the street to ask if she’s wearing Jo Malone.

The Private Collection’s Mandarin & Basil is clearly a dupe for Jo Malone’s Lime Basil & Mandarin Cologne, while its Pomegranate & Black Tea is apparently a dead ringer for cult favourite Pomegranate Noir.

It’s not the first time this year that the budget giant has sent shoppers into meltdown with its copycat versions of designer products.

In June it unveiled an £8 version of Gucci’s iconic £530 slip-on loafers a month after causing a shopping frenzy with a version of £470 Prada mules, at the same low price.

And Jo Malone has also been imitated, so to speak, by other budget retailers such as Aldi who caused mayhem with knock off versions of the brand’s £44 candles for £3.99
