Thirteen French jewellers and gemstone specialists that are members of Comité Francéclat will be participating in the 34th edition of the September Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair.
The B2B fair, the world’s No. 1 fine jewellery event, will be held in two venues as in previous years. Manufacturers and suppliers of raw materials including polished diamonds, gemstones, pearls, equipment and packaging products will be showcasing their goods at the AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE) from September 13 to 17, while jewellers, including some of the leading brands in the industry, will display their finished jewellery collections at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) from September 15 to 19.
Three of France’s major dealers in precious stones and pearls will be present at the AWE. They are Alaine Boite, Marcel Poncet and Piat.
Ten French jewellery makers and brands will be exhibiting at the HKCEC namely Bellon, Brigitte Ermel, Isabelle Langlois, Joïa, Korloff, Lila Rose, Lulu Castagnette, Marcel Robbez Masson (including the brands Masviel 1930, Murat Paris and Oressence Paris), Pacoma Paris and Pearly by Mandine.
According to Comité Francéclat, blue is one of the favourite colours for jewellery this year. Joïa is highlighting blue sapphires in its Heritage Collection, and Bellon is also playing up the blue hue in its London Blue Topaz Collection.
Pink gold, combined with pastel-coloured gemstones, is also very much in trend, as seen with the Concerto ring by Brigitte Ermel. The ring is set with a gorgeous morganite. Two other fine examples are the flower ring by Masviel 1930 with its amethyst petals and the ring by Murat Paris with its pink quartz cabochon.
