Renowned Japanese fine jewellery brand Mikimoto recently opened a luxurious store in Ginza, Tokyo’s most famous upmarket shopping and entertainment district.
The seven-storey shop, designed by distinguished architect Hiroshi Naito, is aimed at attracting local buyers and tourists from all over the world, according to Mikimoto. The boutique’s theme is “Shimmering Spring Sea” as a tribute to pearls, which the company said is a gift from Mother Nature.
The first three floors of the store “are designed to be an experience of light and style,” revealed the Japanese pearl jeweller. Large central windows allow soft lights to enter and illuminate Mikimoto’s sophisticated and delicate pearl jewellery collections.
Taking centre stage at the other floors are pearl necklaces and other high-end jewellery pieces, as well as bridal designs and an exhibition hall. Private rooms are also available for visitors to enjoy a comfortable and intimate shopping experience, noted Mikimoto.
