A longtime favorite of summer visitors and locals alike, Michael Patrick Antiques & Accessories, has reopened at the new Brush Factory on Kings Highway in Lewes.
Owners Michael and Lynette Palen are excited to once again offer their “finds” for home and garden or as their business card says, “roof & soil” for sale. They started their business in Chadds Ford, Pa. and expanded to Maryland and Lewes as the business grew.
After moving to Lewes in 1996, The Lewes Mercantile and the former Practically Yours on Route 9 became their centerpieces, and they closed the Pennsylvania and Maryland shops. After almost 10 years of working full-time jobs as well as antiquing they decided to take a break and closed Michael Patrick.
“After I retired from my regular job two years ago, I did some display and design work with Two Friends, but when they closed, I really missed that creative outlet,” Lynette explained. “When we met Christine at the Brush Factory, we thought that this was a perfect place for us to do what we love.”
Christine is Christine Chura, and she and her husband Mark are the owners of the Brush Factory located at 830 Kings Highway. “The Palens are a great team, both have an eye for cool stuff, and they are especially drawn to nautical and garden items. “We are delighted that many of our former customers have found us again. It has been a very warm welcome back,” said Michael.
The Brush Factory is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
