The Israel Diamond Institute Group of Companies (IDI) will host 84 companies in an expanded Israel Diamond Pavilion at the 34th edition of the September Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair, the world’s No. 1 fine jewellery event.
The B2B fair will be held in two world-class venues as in previous years. Manufacturers and suppliers of raw materials including polished diamonds, gemstones, pearls, equipment and packaging products will be showcasing their goods at the AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE) from September 13 to 17, while jewellers, including some of the leading brands in the industry, will display their finished jewellery collections at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) from September 15 to 19.
According to the IDI, the Israel Diamond Pavilion will occupy more than 1,150 square metres of exhibition space. An additional 15 Israeli companies will also exhibit at different locations throughout the show.
Shmuel Schnitzer, chairman of IDI, commented, “I am pleased that the Israeli industry will have a strong presence at the show. I am hopeful about the outcome of the show despite challenging conditions that the entire industry is facing. We believe in the Asian market and we are there for the long haul.”
Eli Avidar, IDI managing director, said: “Hong Kong is a very important part of our marketing strategy and we participate in four shows during the year. The September show is always the most important since it sets the tone for the upcoming holiday season. This show attracts buyers from all over Asia – Hong Kong, China, India, Singapore and even the US and Australia. As usual, our exhibitors will work hard at the show and I believe they will be rewarded.”
The Israel Diamond Pavilion is in Halls 7 and 9 of the AWE. The IDI will again offer its Find Your Diamond service.
Find Your Diamond, the innovative trade show search platform created by the IDI, now includes a Chinese version in addition to an English one.
According to IDI, buyers will be able to access Find Your Diamond on their smartphones, as well as at dedicated terminals. The popular Find Your Diamond system enables buyers to search a computerised database of all goods offered by Israeli exhibitors at the show.
