Kalyan Jewellers expands foothold in the Gulf region

Kalyan Jewellers is opening seven showrooms in Doha, Qatar within the month as the India-based company further strengthens its presence in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, according to a recent report.

“We have registered a healthy double-digit growth rate in our businesses in the GCC. We believe that our presence in Qatar is critical for us to push the GCC share of the group turnover to over 40 percent – our medium-term target,” TS Kalyanaraman, chairman and managing director of Kalyan Jewellers, was quoted as saying by The Economic Times.

The Doha showrooms would be opened in one day, with global brand ambassador Amitabh Bachchan gracing the inauguration ceremonies.

Kaylan earlier launched six showrooms in the United Arab Emirates, the report said.
