KMC Design of Hong Kong is offering a new collection of fine jade and diamond jewellery that pays homage to contemporary styles and linear designs.
The Geometric Collection drew inspiration from architectural influences, according to the husband-and-wife tandem of company founders Daniel Blyth and Carol Kwong – the creative force behind KMC Design.
“Every piece showcases a strong spatial effect and resembles a mini sculpture. The focus is on triangular shapes,” the designers said. “Our latest collection exudes a sense of tension between the various elements set within a more complicated structure.”
The new collection is aimed at attracting modern women with a contemporary sense of style.
Blyth and Kwong are jade collectors who have an extensive experience in fine arts. The couple initially pursued jade jewellery design as a hobby. The hobby, however, became a full-fledged business with the establishment of KMC Design in 2004.
KMC’s jewellery creations have since been showcased in exhibitions and galleries, including the Hong Kong Heritage Museum.
