It’s hard to imagine two women with personal styles more different than actors Aditi Rao Hydari and Kiara Advani (one’s a vintage queen; the other a try-anything exhibitionist). Yet both ladies recently stepped out in almost identical Manish Malhotra ensembles, including matching off-shoulder blouses! So who wore it better?
Aditi attended actor Anushka Sharma and cricketer Virat Kohli’s reception in Mumbai on December 26, 2017 wearing a midnight blue, scarlet, gold and lime green regal brocade lehenga from Manish Malhotra. Her simple off-shoulder choli featured brocade sleeves and perfectly complemented the heavy lehenga skirt.
Aditi paired her look with a polki choker from Mahesh Notandass and opted to let go off a dupatta to help the focus on the outfit. To finish, the star went with nude lips, some eyeliner and mascara and swept her hair back in a loose low ponytail with soft waves.
On Tuesday, Kiara attended a wedding wearing the same high-waisted lehenga in a bright salamander orange shade. She kept the rest of her look simple and let the bold hue do the talking. The actor’s simple orange dupatta helped balance the volume of the lehenga visually.
Kiara took her make-up and jewellery cues from Aditi and also added nude lips and accessorised with large beaded jhumka earrings from Mahesh Notandass. But unlike Aditi, she left her hair down and went with a small bindi and aviator sunglasses to maximize the glamour factor.
While there’s no doubt that both ladies look incredible, both of them oozing elegance and style, what isn’t so clear is which star wore Manish Malhotra best. Do you prefer the relaxed vibe in the bright lehenga Kiara wore, or Aditi’s sophisticated, polished and more subtle version?
