Columbus-based plus-size brand Eloquii will collaborate with designer Jason Wu on a fall collection — “Jason Wu x Eloquii.”

Wu is best known for designing dresses for Michelle Obama, particularly her gowns for President Barack Obama’s inaugurations.

Wu’s other clients have included Ivana Trump, January Jones, Amber Valletta and drag queen RuPaul. Wu recently stepped down as art director for Hugo Boss after five years of overseeing the brand’s women’s wear line.

“I am drawn to forward-thinking brands, so collaborating with Eloquii is an exciting partnership,” Wu said in a statement. “As a leader in the market, Eloquii focuses on serving their customers directly with fashion-forward pieces, which aligns with my philosophy of designing beautiful clothes for women. The opportunity to innovate together and deliver an elevated product at an approachable price point will make this a truly original collaboration.”

Eloquii’s collaboration with Wu is the latest in a series of such partnerships, including such design names as Stone Fox Bride, Teresa Maccapani Missoni, Katie Sturino and, most recently, Reese Witherspoon’s Draper James brand.
