Hong Kong-based Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group Ltd plans to diversify its product portfolio and offer more affordable jewellery collections to attract local buyers.
The move is aimed to mitigate the effects of a significant drop in the number of mainland Chinese tourists shopping in Hong Kong, according to a reporton Yahoo.com.
Adrian Cheng, executive director of Chow Tai Fook, said the company also relocated some of its local stores to cut monthly operational costs.
