A £16 perfume has been voted the UK’s favourite scent – beating high-end brands such as Chanel, YSL and Gucci.
Avon’s Eve Duet won the Reader’s Choice For Women with ELLE UK at the annual Fragrance Foundation Awards 2018.
The ‘Sensual’ half has notes of pink peppercorn, night blooming jasmine, scarlet rose and patchouli, while ‘Radiance’ contains juicy citrus, apple, waterlily and blonde woods.
Avon’s price-friendly offering beat competition from more than 60 other perfumes, including The House of Creed- White Amber- Les Royales Exclusives, which costs £320 for a 75ml bottle.
Jo Malone’s Myrrh & Tonka Cologne, Gucci Bloom, YSL Black Opium and Chanel Gabrielle were also trialled in the sniff test.

But this isn’t the first low-cost fragrance to send shoppers into a frenzy.
Last month, Superdrug launched the Layering Lab Body Mist Collection, which customers believe are dupes for luxury labels including Yves St. Laurent and Paco Rabanne.
