Charlotte Tilbury Created the Only Makeup Palette You'll Ever Need (Seriously)

As any woman who has ever owned a makeup palette knows well, at some point in her life, she’ll buy one withway too many shadow pans in the lineup, only to get overwhelmed and have no idea how to use them. Leave it to Charlotte Tilbury to take the guesswork out of the whole system.

The makeup artist’s upcoming Instant Look in a Palette set includes everything you need to create a variety of looks in 5 minutes flat. Even better, each of the pans is numbered to show you where to start and stop—almost like color by numbers, but for your face. “I have been working on the new natural glowing look for years and use it on my clients for anything from runway to the big day,” she says. “You don’t need to give me an hour to feel the full force of my makeup magic. Just give me 5 minutes in the mirror of your car, and I can show you an instant, naturally gorgeous look.”

The idea came to life after Tilbury did Kate Moss’s wedding makeup using a similar product lineup, resulting in what the pro has dubbed a “you-but-better” effect with soft neutrals on the eyes, and a radiant flush to the skin. Simply start at the beginning of the palette with the very first shadow pan all over your lids, then layer on numbers 2 and 3 as you see fit. Pick up a powder brush to contour with the bronze pan (from her famed Filmstar Bronze and Glow palette, of course), and follow by layering on each of the blushes, conveniently numbered 5 and 6. Work the final pan over the tops of your cheekbones to finish. “The formulas are so easy to blend, the palette colors are so harmonious, and the format is so easy to use,” she adds.

Tilbury’s Instant Look in a Palette arrives atnordstrom.com for $75 starting in May—and considering that you’d pay well over $100 buying each of its contents individually, we think it’s definitely worth the splurge.
